Prepaid Visa, Mastercard and Debit Gift Cards for on-line purchases only
Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to prepaid Visa, Mastercard or debit gift cards issued by third-party financial institutions (Prepaid Cards). These terms do not apply to Dymocks Gift Cards. Please refer to the separate terms and conditions for Dymocks Gift Cards Here
1.
Can I pay for my order using a Prepaid Card?
Yes, provided that the card has been activated and has sufficient available balance to cover the full transaction amount. Prepaid Cards are processed through standard Visa or Mastercard payment networks and are subject to the card issuer’s terms and conditions.
2.
How do I use my Prepaid Card at checkout?
Select Credit/Debit Card at checkout and enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV as printed on the card.
3.
Do I need to activate the Prepaid Card before use?
Most Prepaid Cards require activation. Please check the card packaging or the card issuer’s website for activation instructions.
4.
Why was my Prepaid Card declined?
A Prepaid Card may be declined for reasons including:
- insufficient available balance;
- incorrect card details;
- failure to activate the card;
- card expiry;
- issuer imposed restrictions; or
- a pre-authorisation hold placed by the payment processor.
Dymocks is unable to override issuer or network decisions.
5.
Can I use multiple Prepaid Cards on one order?
Our system currently accepts only one card payment per transaction. Split payments using multiple Prepaid Cards are not supported.
6.
What happens if my order fails after payment?
If a transaction is not completed, a pending authorisation may appear on your card. Authorisation holds are controlled by your card issuer and typically release within several business days. Dymocks does not control the timing of release of pending authorisations.
7.
Why must I keep my Prepaid Card after payment?
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method where possible. You must retain your Prepaid Card until your order is completed and any applicable returns period has expired.
8.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days after approval. Timing may vary depending on the card issuer.
9.
Who do I contact for card issues?
For activation, balance enquiries, expiry, fees or replacement of a lost card, please contact the card issuer using the details provided on the card or packaging.
