Where can I find my e-Books?
Your e-Books can be accessed by the “MY BOOKS” page.
How can I read my e-Books?
Tap on the cover of the e-Book (you will see a book icon) you wish to read. If you’ve already started reading this book, it will open at the page you had reached in your last session. If you haven’t started reading this book, it will open at the beginning.
Can I share or gift an e-Book?
No, you are unable to share or gift e-Books as they are linked to the email address the e-Book was purchased under.
Can I print or copy an e-Book?
You are unable to copy or print e-Books.
How many devices can I access my e-Books on?
You are able to access your e-Books on six (6) devices.
I have a new device; how can I access my prior e-Book purchases?
Simply download the Dymocks application again, ensure you are logging in with the email address which was linked to your prior purchases. Any e-books will be available via the “MY BOOKS” page.
How can I change the appearance of the e-Book?
When reading an e-Book you can change the following:
font size
font used
column sizes
scroll orientation
brightness
These features can be accessed by tapping the centre of the page; this will display the eReader header.
Tap the AA icon (on iPhones) and the T icon (on Android) in the header to make any changes. Any changes you have applied for e-Book with be applied to all e-Books.
Please Note: some books do not allow appearance changes).
How can I highlight text in my e-Book?
Tap and hold the text you wish to highlight; a pop-up will appear next to the text reading “Highlight / Notes”. Select highlight; this will then highlight the selected text in yellow. Should you wish to change the highlighted colour; double click the highlighted text; this will display further options of blue, red, and green. The highlight texts will remain in the e-book unless you delete them. To delete highlighted text, double click on the highlighted text and click the rubbish bin icon.
How do I add a note to my e-Book?
Tap and hold the text where you would like the note to be added. A pop-up will come up with the words “Highlight / Notes”. Write your note, and then click save. The selected text will then go grey. To view your note simply click on the selected text and press the notes icon. The notes will remain in the e- book unless you delete them. To delete the note, click on the rubbish bin icon.
Can I browse/ purchase an e-Book from the app?
Yes, you are able to browse e-Books in app via the "Discover" page (search icon). Once you have located an e-Book you wish to purchase, click "buy e-Book". This will redirect you to the Dymocks website to complete your purchase.
Once your purchase is complete, the e-Book will be available in the "My Books" page.
Paying for your e-Book
Please note that we are currently unable to accept payment by gift cards for e-Books on our website. You can pay for e-Books using any other payment method of your choosing (card, PayPal, Afterpay).
